Biography

Giovanni Enrico Lombardo belongs to the Department of Medicine and Surgery, "Kore" University of Enna, Italy, where he serves as an assistant professor of pharmacology. He graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology and obtained a PhD in Life Sciences – Pharmaceutical Sciences curriculum in 2018. Between 2018 and 2019, Dr. Lombardo performed his research activity at the Department of Nutrition - University of California, in Davis (U.S.A.), investigating the protective effects of natural compounds in mouse models of both intestinal and hepatic damage. In particular, the research activity, documented by forty scientific publications in international journals with impact factor, is focused on evaluating the pharmacological effects of natural extracts in preclinical experimental models both in vitro and in vivo.
